Curry: Career really came to the outside world’s attention after 54-point spree against Knicks
Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry recently spoke to the media about when his career began to really get outside attention.
“Honestly, it would have been my fourth season in the league, and we were playing the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, and I scored 54 points, but we couldn’t get the ultimate win. That game changed the way the outside world looked at me and they started taking the guy seriously.” Curry said.
The 2012-13 season was the first time in Curry’s career that he averaged more than 20 points per game, and the game he mentioned in the interview was also his highest single-game score that season.
